7th Edition 40k Psychic Phase

7th Edition 40k is bringing some huge changes, perhaps the biggest being the addition of a Psychic Phase. With the new phase, we are seeing totally new mechanics for manifesting psychic powers, and the ability for defending players to Deny a broader range of powers. For the complete rundown, check out my article at:

7th Edition Warhammer 40k Rules!

It's official; 7th Edition Warhammer 40k is upon us. We are mere weeks away from the new book and a deluge of analysis. As of right now, we have some leaks from White Dwarf Weekly. This is actually some great information and we can see already how the game will change forever. Check out my sneak-peak at the link below!

Chaos Battle and Crimson Slaughter Review

I got a game of 40k in yesterday, in the first time in over a month! I played my Chaos Space Marines as my primary detachment (which I hadn't done in many more months!) and I played versus my friend's Ultramarines. It was a fun battle with a narrative flare and I was surprised how fun the Chaos codex was again.

Imperial Knights Codex Review

Alright, gamers! I've posted up a detailed review of the new Imperial Knights Codex! I read through it page by page last night, slept on it, and have been writing like mad since this morning. My review is actually split into two parts. The first part covers the physical product, the history of the Knights, and the artwork contained. The second part covers force selection, Allies, datasheets, and the rules! Check it out!
I really like this book. I was very surprised by the full color plates, the artwork, and the photography. The rules weren't much of a surprise because they've slowly been leaked, but I was glad to have things confirmed! Did I mention that the book explains Daemon Knights? Check it out if you like and leave a comment here or there to share your opinion. Thanks for reading!

Murphy out!

Got My Imperial Knights!

I was able to pick up my order from the local store last night: two Imperial Knights! I was excited to get home and start building, but it wasn't until about 8:30 that I started putting knife-to-spru. So what's inside the kit? Let's loo at photos of the box opening and then some shots of hobby progress!

Crazy: Just Pre-ordered 2 Imperial Knights!

I just pre-pre-ordered two Imperial Knights from my local independent store. I say pre-pre-ordered because our GW rep asks the owner what he think he'll need/want a few days before customers can officially order a new product. I'm nervous and a little scared, as this is the largest single order I've ever placed for a game. Ever. What am I thinking?

Imperial Knights & Legion of the Damned

It's official: Imperial Knights are coming to 40k tabletops everywhere! We've had some leaked information and I spent some time breaking down the stats. Rumor has it that we will see an actual Codex, but what does that mean? Check out my review of the new models, rules (Ion shield!), and some speculation.

Daemons Kill Team

I got a game of Kill Team in today at the Battle Zone. I played Mr. Ed and his Space Wolves. I've played a few games of this stripped down version of 40k and I've loved every game so far! I've switched my team up every time so far, and this time I went all Slaanesh!

Airbrushing German Armor

Bolt Action is a 28mm WWII game published by Warlord Games. I believe it to be the closest thing to Warhammer 40k that the WWII crowd has ever had, in that one company publishes both rules and creates miniatures to match. The rules tend to be more abstract than a lot of historical rule sets created over the last 20 years, so the games are quick and action packed. Of course, you can bring tanks!

Tyranid Synapse and Psychic Powers

So Tyranids lost access to the BRB powers, namely Biomancy. So what did they get in exchange? I'm taking a look at their new Powers of the Hive Mind. Honestly, a few are very 'meh' while some are actually pretty good. Not Iron Arm good . . . but good.

I'm

Tyranid Haruspex Review

Continuing my series on new Tyranid Codex Reviews, the disgusting Haruspex is on deck! This nasty creature will eat most anything in its path, and if equipped with some Biomorphs, can get Strength 8 attacks that re-roll Wounds and create additional attacks. Yes, you read that correctly! How does it do that? Keep reading!

New Exocrine & Hive Crone Review

Overnight I wrote two more reviews for the new 6th edition Tyranid codex: the Tyranid Hive Crone and the new Tyranid Exocrine! The Hive Crone is not as bad as everyone says it is, and the Exocrine is basically an extreme plasma cannon tank!

Tyranid Harpy Review

It's been a bit since I've blogged, but I have been busy. First, I've written a review of the new Tyranid Harpy, covering its rules and some general tactics on the tabletop. I've been doing very well with FMCs in my Daemon army, so I thought I'd share some experiences.
